  • Overview


    The EDI Analyst is a junior level IT staff position which focuses on all aspects of our Customer Trading Partner relationships (creation, maintenance, monitoring, etc.). The analyst will be involved with EDI, AS2, XML, Web Services and other aspects of Electronic Commerce (EC). This person will be expected to learn all required job skills which are required to maintain the needed connectivity to all EC trading partners of U.S. Cold Storage. The EDI Analyst position is focused primarily on collaboration with our Supply Chain business applications, including the Warehouse Management System (WMS), Third Party Logistics (3PL), Transportation Management System (TMS) and the customer website.

    This individual will be expected to assist the IT Department with all reasonable requests and are also expected to maintain a professional, helpful, and cooperative demeanor toward all individuals they contact during the execution of their duties.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Works with the EDI projects and assignments with Technical Leads
    • Assist with EDI support and trouble shooting
    • Assist with connection setups – AS2, SFTP, FTP, etc.
    • Maintains a high focus on providing excellent customer service to our internal and external customers.
    • Able to travel and work at our nationwide plant locations as required (up to 25%).
    • On-call and on-site after hours as needed to provide business continuity support



    • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, or related field
    • Knowledge and working experience with Extol’s EDI translator (EEI) and AS2 software packages (ESX)
    • Knowledge and working experience with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator.
    • Hands on experience with Warehouse Management System documents such as 940, 945, 943, 944, 947, 856 etc
    • Effective communicator in all mediums.
    • Excellent verbal and written communications skills are required.



    • Knowledge of IBM System i (AS/400) platform and DB2i concepts.
    • Knowledge of relational database design and SQL
