  • Overview


    The Transportation Load Planner is responsible for processing of sale orders to generate picking tickets, distribution of picking tickets for plant selection teams, coordinate the tagging and labeling of product. The Transportation Load Planner is responsible for effectively building multi-stop loads, negotiating rates when necessary and the efficient scheduling and routing of delivery vehicles. This position is accountable for clear, timely communication and paperwork.


    Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Accuracy of all paperwork produced.
    • Follow all customer requirements.
    • Assist supervision/management as needed.
    • Follow company policies, guidelines and work instructions.
    • Maintain professional relationship with the carriers and customers.


    Functions may vary dependent on areas of operation. 



    Include the following. Other duties as assigned.

    • Plan, organize and control activities related to transportation
    • Prepare all documents and obtain all documents necessary for legal circulation on public roads
    • Account for all consignments received and forwarded, cash received from senders and recipients, check special contracts for any special / great organization and prepare bills for all consignments of freight and other documents related with transportation
    • Answer requests for proposals and orders from customers
    • Receive and confirm orders for transportation
    • Organize transportation in the best conditions, in respect to the quality and the company's timekeeping standards
    • Find optimal solutions for transport and communicate solutions to the clients
    • Anticipate the probe to troubleshoot any problems, if properly plan for the supply and cost-effective solutions and legal enforcement
    • Schedules and optimize traffic route and optimize transport costs
    • Establish relationships with clients in pursuit of sustainable business relationships
    • Initiate and maintain claim support


    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: The knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below are representative of the qualifications required to successfully perform each essential duty. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.

    Education:                               High School Diploma / GED required

    Experience:                             2+ years of Transportation experience preferred.

    -Excellent communication skills, written and oral.

    - PC, leadership and planning skills helpful.

    -Experience in AS400, SAP, Word, Excel and Powerpoint preferred.

    -Experience with warehouse paperwork preferred.

    - Ability to thrive in a constantly changing chaotic environment and consistently meet tight timeline.

                                                    -Ability to coordinate with contracted trucking dispatchers and drivers

    - Must be able to fill out bills of lading and be familiar with various forms that are used and required by the major freight carriers.
